Psychotherapist and Solace Point founder, Jerry Woodards understands how dramatically our mindset impacts the way we experience and react to the world around us. At times, simply managing day-to-day life can become too overwhelming, so working toward a better future for ourselves is too far out of reach. But, this is not the point to give up on your healing. This is the point to call for backup.
Jerry uses a solutions-based, cognitive behavioral approach in his work with clients. "That, and large doses of humor," he says. "Laughter can be so helpful in healing." In a safe, judgement-free environment, Jerry creates a space where clients find solace as they learn to heal. If you could use some backup right now, call or email Jerry (360) 977-4133, jerrytherapy@gmail.com or click here to message Jerry right now.

" I’ve worked with Jerry Woodards for over 3 years, and I can honestly say the impact of our work together has been life changing. Jerry has been a steady, compassionate presence in my life. He is thoughtful, skilled, and deeply present, helping me untangle what I’m carrying. Jerry creates a safe space where I can be fully honest, and helps me understand patterns without shame. I feel respected, never judged, and consistently supported in a way that’s both kind and effective. Jerry helped me create realistic plans, and guided me through difficult transitions, while challenging me in ways that led to real growth. Highly recommend."

"Jerry’s calm and nonjudgmental nature was hugely important to making progress in my therapy sessions with him. My heart felt it was in good hands. My personal relationships with family and friends have become more grounded and I feel more confident in them due to his life mentoring. I am practicing the difficult conversations I used to avoid. I am able to begin to heal the relationships I have unintentionally harmed. Jerry continues to help me use better skills in my life. He intuitively notices and redirects my old patterns when needed. His instincts are spot on, and sometimes uncomfortably so. Thanks to Jerry I have identified and reclaimed my core values. I am discovering the person that I am meant to be and I am better able to gently and more confidently live authentically out loud."
--Carrie B.
“Jerry is down to earth and easy to talk to. It usually takes me a long time to warm up to and build trust with a therapist, but not with Jerry. He can be subtle or direct--depending on the situation--in helping me take action to make my circumstances better. Jerry has helped me make significant improvements in my personal life and marriage since I started seeing him. He is easy to schedule with and has been flexible when needed.”
--Mary B.
"I was diagnosed with major clinical depression, anxiety, and CPTSD at 27; I am now 52. When I first started working with Jerry three years ago, I hated even walking the half block to my mailbox alone. Any time I was given the 'homework' of going out somewhere, my first question was always, 'Can I at least take a dog with me?' Now I am operating a booth at two separate local farmers' markets, selling my handmade goods, on my own.
My current life journey is not the one I had envisioned, and my living situation is less than ideal. With Jerry's help, I have learned new coping skills and how to set firm boundaries with the people in my life who would normally have pushed me past my emotional limits. He made me comfortable from the very first time I spoke to him, and has always been there any time I needed extra support, but if I am being honest, the #1 reason I chose him from the start was that he could see through the BS answers I gave just to appease him, and demanded that I be real. When you have been in therapy for half your life, it becomes easier to learn all the 'right' things to say, but Jerry wasn't so easily fooled."
